Hayden was home for the evening, it was a monday evening and he had some homework and rest needed, it was a day off for him, with the bar not being that popular on a monday evening like that and he liked the idea of just being at home and resting and getting a little work done on the side. In all it was going to be a pretty chill, relaxing day for him, well evening. He was lounging on the couch with a text book in his lap and some Game of Thrones playing on the tv, not to loud but not silent either. Beside him on small table laid a bag of chips and a half drank coca cola, condensation dripping down the bottle, making a little ring of water at the base.
He closed his eyes for a moment and just took in a deep breath and open them again focusing on the book once more, not really hearing anyone else walking through the house, no one else was important at the moment, so they were not bothering him. He was not expecting anyone else to be home yet. He was expecting Phoenix to be out making friends or something and he was expecting Axel to be at work still, running the bar or something. It was not his worry though Axel was a big boy and Phoenix hardly needed his constant supervision or anything he was seventeen after all, not that much younger than Hayden was himself.

He had decided it would be fitting to be anywhere but home at the moment. He didn't want any arguments with Axel. Axel always did that whole big brother/acting like the father kind of thing and it was just frustrating a lot of the time that he still treated him like some child that needed constant supervision and lectures. Fair enough, Axel was aware of the situation with him getting caught up in a few bad situations, but it wasn't really his fault. Someone was getting bullied at school and he merely jumped in and got a little bit too physical. But no one saw it from his perspective of helping out the other student, they just saw him as this immature villain or brat who deserved to be told what to do until he was old enough to say otherwise. Being there with Axel would just cause more arguments. He really was trying to show Axel he wasn't the same person, but it was hard when things kept happening which were out of his control. At least Hayden was pretty close with him, however he noticed Hayden was just getting caught between all of their bickering. And his mother really thought putting him and Axel in the same house would help matters?
He got out of his car, parking it along the nature strip, thanking whoever that Axel hadn't decided to micro manage him even further and say that he wasn't allowed to have his car or drive in general. He closed the car door and made his way back up to the house, noticing that Axel wasn't home. Finally some peace. He loved Axel, he knew Axel was only trying to protect and support him but it was just the way he did it some times that really annoyed the heck out of him. It was like Axel had never been a teenager before. Fair enough he had to help their mother out a lot in raising them when their father died, but still, he took it a little too far. They weren't kids anymore. He could look after himself.
Walking inside, he noticed Hayden had game of thrones on the television, and he just smirked softly. "With all the things that haven't changed with you two, its good to see your still as nerdy as ever." He chuckled softly, teasing the older brother. He was only kidding, he was evidently closer with Hayden than he was with Axel, mainly because the two were closer in age and therefore had more of a growing up stage together. When their father died, Axel just stepped up into that role and the two of them sought each other for comfort during that time. The funny thing was how different they really were, but it really worked for them. "Axel not home? Should I be checking for any surveillance cameras that he might have installed?"
(They won't know about their powers at this point)
He heard the door open and close, he knew someone was home, not that it really bothered him much, they could come and go if they wanted and he was just going to do his own thing at the moment. As long as Phoenix made it to school and Axel and Phoenix didn't kill each other, he was relatively happy. Of course there were numerous other things he could think of that could make things a little easier on the three brothers but his main goal was to make sure his younger and older brother did not kill each other. It would be a shame, he liked them both for their own reasons but they were so stubborn and head strong that they always seemed to clash no matter what it was. Hayden did not have time for such pettiness. He saw it is a major waste of time, he knew who he was and what he needed to do and he jut did it. He had his own systems for doing things and it was different from the other two. He was subtle...smarter about it but because it was not flashy people tended to think that he could be ran over easily. Only if they knew what would happened if they pissed him off enough to gather his strength together and go to war with someone, for the most part he calm and relaxed though.
He smirked up at his younger brother. Haven't you heard, nerds rule the world, you might want to jump on board before you bowing to my greatness. I already know I will enjoy having Axel do so, wanna join him, I can always use an entourage. He chuckled softly at the little joke, that may or may not have been a joke. He knew he was smart and this was the day and age that brains can beat brawn like Axel. So it could be possible someday for him to rule the world but it does seem to be a bit off at the moment, more of a dream.
He heard Phoenix talk about possible security camera's and stuff and he shook his head. He doubt that even Axel was that.....nuts about this situation. Phoenix did have a knack of getting himself into trouble but Hayden honestly did not think he was a bad kid or anything, maybe a little misunderstood or acting out a little but no bad, not needing to have so much security, he just needed room and support. Naw I turned it off, like I want to be watched..watching my socially acceptable porn. I also turned off the gps tracker in your car. He winked playfully and smiled softly.
He raised an eyebrow towards Hayden as he dumped his jacket on the kitchen chair and smirked softly. "Keep dreaming, buddy. That might be the case at UC, but at High School, nerds would be lucky to get through the building without having something thrown at them. I'd sure you'd be fine, I mean, if they know me and how cool I am, I'm sure they'd let you off the hook," he teased still with the grin piercing his expression. He didn't really consider Hayden a nerd, he was far from it. Sure, he liked reading and doing all that boring stuff, but it didn't make him a nerd or even a geek. He was his brother, and in many ways he looked up to Hayden for being the sane one in this family. He could always go to Hayden for advice or just to talk. Was it wrong to have favourites when it comes to siblings?
He smiled at Hayden's reassurance of the cameras. "Well its good to see someone around here doesn't enjoy the sight of me falling flat on my face and lecturing me about it. So where is Axel anyway, at work? Thought he would usually finish around this time. Not that I'm complaining, having an argument free zone in this house is pretty awesome. I should go and make the most of it while I can. Hey, you wouldn't have the sudden urge to do a favourite brother's homework would you? There's a few guys at school that wanted to go out to that beach bar place and I thought it would be cool to go. I'm only asking because you know how much I look up to you and always help you out..." He tried to smile innocently, hoping Hayden would be suckered into it. If not, he would just have to rush it before class, because he wasn't going to miss a night out to make some new friends. He definitely needed some since this was a new town and all.
