DO's
DONT's
- Make characters inspired by original concepts which can shake up the site in an interesting way. Be creative! It never hurts!
- Characters who can tie into the plot well. Are you a dinosaur trainer from egypt? Sorry, but we really don't care much here at Chosen.
- Well-thought out applications where attention to detail is shown, and it isn't sloppy and incoherent. It really helps you out when you put some effort in from the beginning!
- Well-balanced characters. Fighters who have emotional burdens/rocky history, witches who cannot beat up a cat to save their lives...Basically people with obvious weaknesses! We don't like those Mary sue's around here!
- Vampires. Vampires are an abundance in Midnight Harbour and therefore are always handy!
- Humans. Bartenders, uni students, friends of friends, family of other characters, all a good way to fit into the plot and start the basis of plotting with others!
DONT's
- Characters who seem too perfect and have very little flaws- unbalanced strengths and weaknesses. The best way of developing a character and not getting sick of them is to start them out with lots of flaws and make them overcome them as the roleplay goes on.
- Powerful witches who are just invincible...Will not be accepting these whatsoever!
- Too many vampire hunters. Sure, some are okay. But it just gets too much after a while. At least if it has no decent plotting behind it.
- Strange Characters. Sorry, some just go completely off-site in my ways than one! You may be passionate about that said character, but it might not make sense on here. Keep that in mind.
